Our clients fill out a form called a Tax Information Authorization (TIA) which allows the Department of Taxation and Revenue in New Mexico to know that we are your authorized representatives for tax matters. Basically, it is the state version of the IRS form that allows us to talk with them about our client’s tax filings.
Previously, TIA’s had no expiration date but that’s about to change!
The new form must be renewed every year. Tardy & Co., PC will be using the new form going forward, so our clients can expect to see it in their paperwork. If you’re especially interested, you can see a PDF version here.
