If you’re looking for a job in your field, there are a couple of tax deductions that you might be able to claim, even if you don’t actually get the job.

When you’re looking for a job in your current field you can deduct things like travel to interviews, resume costs, and employment agency fees.  You’ve got to itemize though, and your total miscellaneous deductions have to add up to at least 2% of your adjusted gross income.
